Review
ProxySwitcher Lite is a basic software that lets you connect anonymously to the Internet by adding proxy servers to the program. The program will connect to them and configure various browser types and versions such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox to use the proxy server that you choose form ProxySwitcher Lite. The program has a tray icon that will display a very simple window with a button to add/remove proxies, a button to edit the settings of a proxy, connect and disconnect buttons. The basic settings for any proxy contain the IP/hostname, port number and notes while the advanced settings include HTTP, secure, FTP, Gopher and socks IPs/hostnames, ports and notes. The program can download the settings from an auto-configuration script. The settings of the program allow you to enable/disable balloon hints, always show proxy addresses in the tray menu. The tray icon shows the status of connect and the proxy server that you are connected to, otherwise it will tell you that the connection is direct. |
